BASF 322 - Professional Development


1-5 credits

Prerequisites
Admission to the BAS-FRM program or instructor permission.

One of the most important courses for professional development, the internship is the pathway to integrate the students in the profession, with hands-on experience. Engaging in real-world work, the students will have the chance to exercise their knowledge in the field and contribute to the operation of an agency or company. The application of theory in the real world is critical to the learning process, refining skills and cementing knowledge, leading towards mastery. This is a variable credit course offered every quarter. A total of five credits is required for the degree.

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

  • Interact with professionals in the field, developing teamwork and professional ethics and code of conduct
  • Produce a report on the Professional Development activities and outcomes in a professional manner
