BASM 401 - Business Processes and Excel


5 credits

Prerequisites
Admission to the BASOM or BS program.

Students will solve simple and complex problems by moving beyond basic Excel skills to think critically about realistic management situations. Students will organize data for analysis, utilize Excel features and tools for decision making and effectively display results.

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

•Use Excel effectively.

•Apply quantitative methods to analyze business data and support effective decision-making.

•Organize, clean, and prepare raw data for accurate and efficient analysis.

•Create clear and effective charts and tables to communicate data-driven findings.

•Sort and filter data sets to identify key trends, outliers, and actionable insights.

•Utilize Excel functions and tools to perform quantitative analysis for business applications.
