ALSA 211 - Relapse Prevention 2 credits
The course will focus on relapses in Substance Use Disorder treatment. Preventing and managing with relapses will be a special focus. The stages of recovery in substance use disorder treatment and the likelihood of relapse in treatment will also be covered. The course meets the requirements for Washington State Department of Health; Substance Use Disorder Professional License. This course is specific to Drug and Alcohol addicted individuals and meets the requirement for content area WAC 246-811-030 (Section T).
Theory Hours 2 theory hours.

AA General Elective May be used as a general elective in the AA degree.
Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of how to identify the stages of change.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the relapse process and relapse prevention.
