AUTO 104 - Intro to Automotive Steering and Suspension

Prerequisites
Placement in MATH 060 , ENGL 060 , and READ 090 AUTO 103 .

This course teaches skills to meet Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASEEF) Maintenance and Light Repair Technician standards under Suspension and Steering. This course is a study of automotive steering, suspension, and alignment procedures currently in use by the automotive industry. This course provides theory of conventional and strut-type suspension systems. The student is introduced to conventional and rack and pinion types of steering systems, applies two-wheel and four-wheel alignment procedures, along with tire and wheel balance procedures.
