INDT 101 - Introduction to Industrial Technology: Automotive and Diesel 5 credits
Prerequisites Placement in MATH 060 , ENGL 060 , and READ 090 .
Students will be introduced to careers in the Automotive and Diesel industries, shop procedures and safety, workplace skills, basic theories and math related to Automotive and Diesel Technology, basic Automotive and Diesel history, basic systems overview, basic usage of hand tools and shop equipment, and proper work order write-up.
Theory Hours 5 Theory hours.
Vocational Program Course Vocational Program course.
AA General Elective May be used as a general elective in the AA degree.
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
Develop college and career goals that are realistic, timely, and strategic.
Explain the resources available to them at the college and how to contact those resources.
Develop an academic and financial plan for their college experience.
