Associate of Computer Science, DTA/MRP

This pathway is applicable to students planning to prepare for Computer Science and related majors at universities and colleges in Washington.  This pathway meets all of the requirements of the DTA.

General Requirements (15 credits)


Communication (10 credits)


Quantitative/Symbolic Reasoning Skills (5 credits)


Core Distribution Requirements (45 credits)


Humanities (15 credits)


A total of 15 credits is required with one course from three different areas selected from the Humanities courses listed in Distribution Requirements .

Social Sciences (15 credits)


A total of 15 credits is required with one course from three different areas selected from the Social Sciences courses listed in Distribution Requirements .

University Specific Requirements (0-10 credits)


Suggested courses for transfer to:

WSU - ECON& 201  or ECON& 202 , MATH& 163  and MATH& 264 , PHIL& 120 , and any science with lab course.

UW - PHYS& 222 MATH& 146 , and MATH& 163 

EWU - ENGL& 102  and MATH 220  

Gonzaga - PHIL& 101 CMST& 101 , and PHYS& 223  

PLU - Any science with lab course.

Heritage & Whitworth - PHYS& 223 

Seattle Pacific - Any science with lab course.

Seattle U - Any science with lab course.

Electives (0-20 credits)


Sufficient additional college-level electives  credits so that total credits earned are at least 90 quarter credits. These remaining credits may include prerequisites for major courses (e.g., pre-calculus), additional major coursework, or specific general education or other university requirements, as approved by your advisor. See your GHC advisor for specific courses recommended for your major; check with your 4-year university for world-language requirements.
