AUTO 105 - Intro to Automotive Brakes


8 credits

Prerequisites
Placement in MATH 060 ENGL 060 , and READ 090 AUTO 104 .

This course teaches skills to meet Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASEEF) Maintenance and Light Repair Technician standards under Brakes. This course is a study of brakes and brake control systems, including brake system hydraulics and hardware. The student will practice brake service procedures, brake performance, diagnostic, and troubleshooting methods. It will also cover the principles of Anti-Lock brake systems, their diagnosis and repair, as well as ADAS (Advanced Drive Assistance Systems).
