AUTO 108 - Automobile Parts Specialist 8 credits
Prerequisites Placement in MATH 060 , ENGL 060 , and READ 090 .
Corequisites INDT 101 .
This course provides instruction and practical application of the various aspects of auto parts sales including how to obtain current information from technicians and cash customers as well as developing an insight into employer’s expectations of a salesperson and expert counterperson. In addition; the course will cover basic components in most aftermarket catalogs including the contents, application sections and illustrations. Students will also gain an understanding of basic business skills. It also offers preparation for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) P-2 Parts Specialist test.
Theory Hours 3 Lecture hours.
Guided Practice Hours 10 Lab hours.
Vocational Program Course Vocational Program course.
AA General Elective May be used as a general elective in the AA degree.
