AUTO 204 - Automotive Steering and Suspension


4 credits

Prerequisites
Placement in MATH 060 ENGL 060 , and READ 090 AUTO 104  and AUTO 203 .

This course builds on Auto 104 and teaches skills to meet Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASEEF) Automotive Service Technician standards under Steering and Suspension. This course is a study of automotive steering, suspension, and alignment procedures currently in use by the automotive industry. This course provides application of conventional and strut-type suspension systems. The student is introduced to conventional and rack and pinion types of steering systems. Students will also perform two-wheel and four-wheel alignment procedures.
