MATH 241 - Differential Equations I

A grade of “C” or better in MATH& 163 or concurrent enrollment in MATH& 163.

MATH 241 is a standard first course in differential equations. Content includes:linear first order equations; separable equations; growth and decay problems; motion problems; linear second order equations; variation of parameters; undetermined coefficients; analysis of vibrations; series solution method; Laplace transforms; Dirac delta function; solution of nonhomogeneous linear systems; and basic applications of linear systems. Applications are taken from the natural and social sciences and engineering.
