ACCT 180 - Accounting with SAGE

5 credits

Prerequisites
ACCT 114 or ACCT& 201, and BTECH 102, or instructor permission.

Introduction to the use of SAGE software in an accounting environment. Students will analyze transactions, enter data into a computerized accounting system and prepare various financial reports. Included are the implementation of various transactions into the accounting system.

Course Outcomes
Students will learn to process and manage all the transactions that are imperative for a merchandising business, including:

Prepare accounting documents to translate business transactions for an entity using SAGE software.
Generate customized accounting records for a sample company
Compute, evaluate, and document financial information on standard reports
Generate accurate financial statements for different types of businesses
